The multifaceted art education team at the 21er Haus Museum of Contemporary Art have set themselves the aim of demonstrating to visitors of all ages a variety of approaches to contemporary art and to the activities of the museum, thereby inviting visitors into a dialogue about contemporary art. They offer a range of options that spans from imaginative games and activity- and dialogue-oriented tours to workshops, with a particular focus on photography, object art, and new media art. In addition to informative, synoptic guided tours, they also offer visitors the chance to enter into conversation with experts, consequently transforming the 21er Haus Museum of Contemporary Art into a site of exchange, reflection, and personal enrichment.
Studio21, the Art Education Departments studio, is a site of artistic creativity, learning, and discussion for art fans of every age. Across some 80 m² the studio planned and furnished by the architecture firm Krischanitz provides space to discover your creative potential. The inner courtyard in front of the studio guarantees ideal lighting conditions while also providing the opportunity to work outdoors at warmer times of the year. In addition to the studio, a large darkroom with new equipment is also available for wide-ranging workshops.
