VITTORIO BRODMANN
Ups and Downs

Vittorio Brodmann paints. Painting has a reputation for showing things beyond a picture, things that happen within the artist and subsequently manifest themselves on the canvas. The artist combines this sum of gestures called painting with comedy and slapstick. Against this background, Brodmann works with our expectations towards painting, confronting them with an exaggeration of the ordinary by featuring fantastic characters as protagonists.

The exhibition will be on display from 20 November 2013 to 6 January 2014 at the 21er Haus.
