Digital Belvedere

The enlarged collection database in the Belvedere Research Center marks the transformation from a digitized to a digital Belvedere. Many of the functions offer new approaches not only for researchers but also of general interest.

The Picture Database contains information on the objects in the Belvedere collection and their context. In view of the wealth of material, the focus for the time being is on masterpieces and on typical examples of the various genres, but this focus will be gradually enlarged. The information is also continuously updated in line with the state of research.

Information

Each dataset contains textual information on the object, person or workshop and also usually one or more pictures. The numerous cross-references and bookmarks also enable visitors to explore the various aspects in an intuitive manner.
