A new focus on the Medieval Collection: until now only part of the collection was on show. Now the Belvedere is opening its depots as well and presenting its entire medieval holdings, encompassing around 220 works.
The Masterpieces of Medieval Art are on show in the Upper Belvedere. All other works are being exhibited in the Medieval Treasury in the Prunkstall, the Palace stables built by Prince Eugene. Thus, for the first time, a complete view is being presented of one of the most important medieval collections in Central Europe.
