This kiss of the whole world! Celebrated as a Jugendstil genius soon after 1900, Gustav Klimt now numbers among the iconic painters of Western art history. But how did the son of a gold engraver achieve his meteoric rise to become the leading personality of Viennese modern art? How did ancient mosaics, opera glasses and telescope, or Oriental art influence the aesthetic power of his works? In a concise and engaging way, this tour acquaints you with the tempestuous life of this stellar Austrian artist, stunning paintings, and the spirit of fin-de-siècle Vienna.
