Design, fashion, media, games. Never have people been surrounded by so much color as in the twenty-first century. Our present is kaleidoscopic, but behind every color there lies a long history. What in fact are colors, what are pigments? What emotions do they evoke, and how do they manipulate us? With their economic importance colors have taken over and altered broad swaths of land. They carry secret messages and can even be the symbol of a corporate identity. Immerse yourself in the realm of red, green, and blue and learn to read the colors in paintings.
