The new gaming expedition designed for smartphones sends children and their families on a complete tour around the Upper Belvedere: where might the creatures that called this place home during Prince Eugene's time hide? The person who finds them can make them fit for the future.
The grounds of the Belvedere were once home to a menagerie – one of Europe's earliest zoos. Prince Eugene gathered animals from around the world here. Six such animals who lived in the garden some three hundred years ago are now the protagonists of the new Fantastic Palastics game: Roco the Lion, Neo the Lemur, Rena the Gazelle, Pop the Sheep, Dada the Ostrich, and Flux the Porcupine.
One of the two sphinx sculptures in front of the Upper Belvedere wakes the animals from their deep slumber to signal the start of the game.
The mythical creature's knowledge and a map integrated into the game assist in locating all the animals that are hiding in the garden. Players use their smartphones to scan the surrounding area to complete tasks. Once an animal has been discovered, it must be fed immediately with the proper food.
With a satisfying meal, the Fantastic Palastics are ready to take on the next three hundred years.
