Our insider tip for an intimate church wedding is the Belvedere’s Palace Chapel. Enjoy your big day at the Belvedere Palace and tie the knot in our magical baroque chapel.

Marriage Proposal
Get engaged in front of the magical backdrop of Gustav Klimt’s Kiss, a quintessential symbol of romance and intimacy. A private tour through the Upper Belvedere provides a fascinating build-up before you pop the question. Celebrate by toasting your future together in the beautiful octagon. And best of all – you will be the only guests in the museum!
Please note that a minimum lead time of four weeks is required for your booking.

Wedding Photoshoots
Please note that photoshoots of newlyweds and all forms of staged photography during opening hours are NOT included in the general permission to take photographs at the Belvedere.
Alternatively we do offer a special permit for a photoshoot of the bride and groom in the Octagon and in the state rooms of the Upper Belvedere during opening hours.
Note
Due to large visitor numbers, wedding photographs may not be taken in front of Gustav Klimt’s Kiss or in the room where it is exhibited. Photographs must be taken without the bridal bouquet. Please show consideration to the other museum visitors. During busy periods at Christmas (22 December to 10 January) and at Easter wedding photoshoots are prohibited during opening hours.

- 1.5 hours photo shoot in the Octagon
- 30-minute shoot in the Sala terrena, grand staircase and marble hall
- Admission tickets for up to 4 persons
- A museum attendant is available for the duration of the shoot

Wedding Celebrations
Make your dream of a fairytale wedding come true: Celebrate the most beautiful day of your life at the Belvedere, where Baroque splendor, glamorous art, and impressive history come together in the perfect setting! Dine with up to 200 guests in the Marble Hall of the Upper Belvedere, and as the evening draws to a close, enjoy musical accompaniment in our beautiful Sala Terrena.
Alternatively, you may opt for the Privy Garden in the Lower Belvedere and the three staterooms – the Marble Gallery, the Hall of Grotesques, and the Gold Cabinet – to celebrate your marriage well into the early hours of the morning. Our event team at the Belvedere is here to support you in preparing for your wedding celebration, ensuring that each moment is unforgettable.
