A time slot is the set time for your admission to the museum. You choose your time slot from a list of times available when you buy your ticket online or on-site at the ticket offices. The duration of your stay, however, is unlimited.

Yes, to visit the Lower and Upper Belvedere, select your time slot when purchasing your ticket. For the Belvedere 21, you choose the day of your visit, but no fixed admission time.

Yes, with combination tickets you choose your time slot for the most visited Upper Belvedere, the other locations are visited on the same day before or after the booked time slot. Please note our opening hours.

No – please proceed directly to the entrance and show your membership card and an ID; at peak times, however, you may experience a short delay.

Please come directly to the ticket office and show your pass – you will receive your free or discounted admission ticket, including a time-slot, on the spot. Pre-booking a time-slot is in this case not possible.  At peak times, you may experience a short delay.

At peak times, there may be delays. We therefore recommend that you buy your tickets in advance online: To your benefit, you will always have an up-to-date overview of all the available time-slots – and you avoid queuing at the ticket office and can go directly to the entrance.

Yes, in some cases this may occur. However, with your time-slot ticket you will be given priority ahead of visitors who have not yet purchased a ticket.

No, unfortunately, this is not possible for privacy reasons.

Yes, you can buy the Belvedere Gift Card at ticket offices on-site and top it up with any amount of funds. The gift card allows cashless payment at the ticket offices and museum stores of all Belvedere locations.

Here's how it works for Apple and Android:

1. Click on the wallet icon (Apple Wallet) to save the digital ticket directly to your smartphone.
2. Agree to receive wallet notifications to stay up to date on special offers and information about your visit.
3. On the day of your visit, come directly to the museum entrance and present your online ticket.

No, not at the moment.

For just € 99,- the Bundesmuseen Card is your ticket to all 25 locations of the Federal Museums and the National Library. Skip the lines and enjoy direct entry to the museums for one year. Available online at www.bundemuseencard.at or on site.

You can buy the Gold Pass either online or at the cash desk.

The Gold Pass is valid from date of purchase and expires one year from that date.

Shortly before your Gold Pass expires, you will receive a reminder email with information on how to renew it. You can then transfer the amount due online or renew the card at the Belvedere ticket offices.

Yes, you may buy the Gold Pass for someone else at either the ticket offices on-site or via the Belvedere website – even as a nicely wrapped present!

Admission is already included in the event tickets. An accompanying adult is required to attend (at least one accompanying adult for every three children).

Friends of the Belvedere and Gold Pass holders are not entitled to a discount. However, the reduced wienXtra rates and Kulturpass discounts apply with a valid kinderaktivcard – please present this card upon arrival!

No – upon receipt of your booking confirmation you are automatically registered for the relevant time-slot of the guided tour period. You can collect your tickets at the ticket office 15 minutes prior to the start of the guided tour.

Journalists with a valid press ID have free access to all exhibitions and locations of the Belvedere if the visit is part of their professional activity. Please note that this requires an accreditation in advance.

In general, yes, except for the photography of bridal couples during opening hours, which is NOT covered by the general photography permit at the Belvedere. All information and costs for wedding photography in the state rooms of the Upper Belvedere can be found here:

Yes, this is allowed but you must obtain permission in advance from the Bundesgärten [Federal Gardens authority].  Information about current fees can be obtained there as well.

The last admission is 30 minutes before the indicated closing time. We kindly ask you to leave the premises on time, as the museum closes precisely on the hour.
