Time-Slot-Tickets for the
Upper Belvedere 

The visit to the Upper Belvedere is only possible with a valid time-slot-ticket. You may choose your time-slot according to availability when you buy your ticket online or at the ticket office. This will avoid waiting times at the entrance.

Please note: There are no constraints on the time you spend in the museum. 

You don't need a time-slot-ticket and can go directly to the entrance if you present one of the following tickets or memberschip cards and a valid ID:

  • Belvedere annual ticket

  • Friends of the Belvedere card

  • Bundesmuseen-Card

  • Vienna Pass or Flexi Pass

  • ICOM Membership Card

Kulturpass and IAA Card

Free admission to our museums with a Kulturpass and the IAA Card.

Avoid Waiting Times

It is busiest between 11 am and 2 pm. We know how frustrating long waits can be and therefore advise you to plan your visit at an off-peak time. The Upper Belvedere opens at 10 am.

 

 

Seating / Wheelchairs

There is some seating in the exhibition rooms. A wheelchair is available for visitors with mobility access requirements.

 

 

Visitors with Children

  • It is our pleasure to welcome adults, youths and children to our museum.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for the behaviour of children and youths.

 

 

Lost Property

Lost property can be collected at the cloakroom ,valuables at the security office. 

 

 

Cloakrooms

  • It is not allowed to enter the museum with outer wear and bulky items such as umbrellas, rucksacks, travel bags and other bulky items. All such items may be deposited at the cloakroom. 
  • There are lockers (free of charge).
  • It is not possible to deposit suitcases. 

 

 

Audio Guides

In the Upper Belvedere Audio guides are available by the ticket counter in: German, English, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish Mandarin, Cantonese, Ukrainian

For reasons of hygiene, we ask you to use personal headphones (standard 3.5 mm connection). As an alternative, disposable headphones are provided free of charge.

Eat and Drink

It is forbidden to carry and consume food and beverages in any of our exhibition rooms. Our Schlosscafé and the Lucy Bar offer a rich variety of food and drinks. 

 

 

Photography

  • Photographing and filming in the museum is allowed for private, non-commercial purposes, without the use of flash, tripods or selfie-sticks, as long as the integrity of the exhibits is guaranteed.
  • Excluded from this are rooms,
    exhibitions or individual exhibits marked as having a ban on photography. 
  • You can apply for a permit to film or take photos for academic or reporting purposes from our communications department.

 

 

In the Exhibition Rooms

  • It is not allowed to touch or in any other way cause damage to exhibits.
  • We kindly ask you to refrain from using your mobile phone or talking loudly in the exhibition rooms to avoid disturbing other visitors. 
  • Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the museum.
  • Animals (except guide dogs) are not allowed to be taken into the museum.
