“Collection Institutions in a Digital World: Strategies - Methods - Tools’ is a five-day training programme dedicated to the topics of digitisation, digital collection management and the online presence of digitised collections in order to address their potential and problems. How do we meet the challenges and changes resulting from the all-round advent of digitalisation? How does the digital transformation influence the traditional strategies of cultural heritage institutions? Which digital competences need to be developed or expanded?

As part of the course, participants are trained to effectively use and expand their digital resources in the respective cultural institutions. The focus is on strategies for digitisation of culturally and historically relevant collections, the development of user-centric online formats and digital storytelling, as well as possible restrictions due to image rights and financial aspects.
