Screening: CEU DOCS. Annual Showcase 2026

Mit dem Screening CEU DOCS 2026 präsentiert die Central European University CEU) eine Auswahl dokumentarischer und experimenteller Kurzfilme von Studierenden verschiedener Fachbereiche der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften. Eingeleitet wird das Screening durch eine Diashow mit Fotografien aus der CEU-Ausstellung CEU Visions.

In diesen außergewöhnlichen Arbeiten bringen die Studierenden die Ideen, Anliegen und Diskurse zum Ausdruck, die ihre künstlerischen und akademischen Interessen prägen. Aus unterschiedlichen Teilen der Welt kommend, eröffnen die Studierenden einzigartige Perspektiven auf lokale wie auch internationale Fragestellungen.

Im Anschluss an das Screening findet eine Fragerunde mit den Filmemacher*innen statt.
Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt.

Die Projekte entstehen in Kursen, die Teil des MA-Programms Visual Theory and Practice Advanced Certificate (VTP) und des BA-Programms Culture, Politics and Society (CPS) sind. Sie werden durch das Fachwissen und die technologischen Ressourcen des Media Hub der CEU-Bibliothek unterstützt.
 

With CEU DOCS 2026 Central European University (CEU) presents a selection of documentary and experimental short films by students from a number of different CEU departments in the Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, a slideshow of photos from CEU's CEU Visions photo exhibition will be shown prior to the screening.

Through this exceptional body of work these students communicate the ideas, concerns and discourses of their artistic and academic interests. They come from all over the world and present a unique perspective on both local and international issues.

The screening will last approximately 75 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers. 
The event will be held in English.

The projects are made in courses that are part of the MA Visual Theory and Practice Advanced Certificate program, and BA program in Culture, Politics and Society. They are supported by the expertise and technology resources of the CEU Library’s Media Hub.
