Screening: CEU DOCS. Annual Showcase 2026
Mit dem Screening CEU DOCS 2026 präsentiert die Central European University (CEU) eine Auswahl dokumentarischer und experimenteller Kurzfilme von Studierenden verschiedener Bereiche der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften. Eingeleitet wird das Screening durch eine Diashow mit Fotografien aus der CEU-Ausstellung CEU Visions.
Die außergewöhnlichen Arbeiten geben Einblick in Ideen, Anliegen und Diskurse, die die künstlerischen und akademischen Interessen der Studierenden prägen. Aus unterschiedlichen Teilen der Welt stammend, eröffnen sie vielfältige Perspektiven auf lokale wie internationale Fragestellungen.
Die gezeigten Projekte entstehen im Rahmen von Lehrveranstaltungen des MA-Programms Visual Theory and Practice Advanced Certificate (VTP) sowie des BA-Programms Culture, Politics and Society (CPS). Sie werden durch die fachliche Expertise und die technologischen Ressourcen des Media Hub der CEU-Bibliothek unterstützt.
Im Anschluss an das Screening findet eine Fragerunde mit den Filmemacher*innen statt. Die Veranstaltung wird in englischer Sprache durchgeführt.
With CEU DOCS 2026 Central European University (CEU) presents a selection of documentary and experimental short films by students from a number of different CEU departments in the Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, a slideshow of photos from CEU's CEU Visions photo exhibition will be shown prior to the screening.
Through this exceptional body of work these students communicate the ideas, concerns and discourses of their artistic and academic interests. They come from all over the world and present a unique perspective on both local and international issues.
The projects are made in courses that are part of the MA Visual Theory and Practice Advanced Certificate program, and BA program in Culture, Politics and Society. They are supported by the expertise and technology resources of the CEU Library’s Media Hub.
The screening will last approximately 75 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers. The event will be held in English.
